What content draws in accounting customers?
Feb 16, 2018 by kiddEvery business needs a website. Whether you're selling tools, services, or both, a website is a 24/7 advertisement and an employee. Use it to draw in new traffic, establish your credibility, and give potential customers ways to communicate with you. Here are two types of content you need to do it:
Have a blog that provides meaningful, technical content.
Professional websites have blogs for a number of reasons. One of them is just for keywords. Google and other search engines are getting smarter about knowing when keywords are legitimate and when businesses are keyword-stuffing, so blogs provide context for keywords in ways that search engines approve of and utilize. But blogs also prove your own expertise. If a potential client has a specific question, providing an answer when no one else does will get their attention, and anyone who has one technical question has a few more they need to be answered, too.
More and more businesses are turning to this style of marketing, which is called inbound marketing. Instead of directly promoting your business through ads, you offer content that helps people. As they start to trust you as an authority in the industry, they're more likely to offer content information to join your mailing list and then money to gain access to your premium services.
Have some illustrative graphics.
For most people, and probably your potential customers in particular, accounting is a pretty dry topic. Break it up with plenty of images, diagrams, and video explanations in addition to text. Not only are people more likely to understand answers that are providing in both text and video, they're more likely to enjoy it (or at least not get frustrated).
The images shouldn't all tie into the answers you provide, either. Adding pictures, especially of people, increases the trustworthiness and sellability of your services no matter what industry you're in.
Making a site that nicely frames your services and the answers you can provide to your traffic is essential. Contact us to get started.
