Digital Marketing Course Overview

Our one-on-one digital marketing course provides expert training to business owners, sales & marketing managers and operations executives who want to improve their knowledge of digital marketing and ecommerce.

We’ll coach you on how to develop a full digital marketing strategy to promote your products & services to your target market through search engine and social media marketing. There's also an optional ecommerce module to help you navigate the pitfalls with marketing and selling products online.

Course Description

One-on-one expert training with access to pre-recorded videos on digital marketing to supplement the content. We'll help you develop measurable search engine optimisation, social media and paid digital advertising strategies that are focused on generating leads and sales from your target market.

By the end of the programme you'll know how to use your business objectives to decide which digital marketing channels fit your business, implement your online marketing strategy and measure your ROI.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Introduction to Digital Marketing - Identifying your business objectives; Finding out what people are searching for online; Defining your keyword portfolio; Planning & implementing your digital marketing strategy
     
  2. Search Engine Marketing - Identifying & fixing technical issues with your website; Building & sharing relevant content based around your keywords; Importance of internal & external links; Adding video and other content to hold visitors’ attention; Defining goals, measuring results
     
  3. Introduction to Google Analytics - Setting up your Analytics account; Understanding the terminology; Analysing the key statistics; Segmenting demographic data to understand your visitors; Setting & measuring goals
     
  4. Online Advertising - Identifying which channels are right for your business; How to setup campaigns in Google Ads, YouTube, Facebook & Instagram; Measuring your ROI
     
  5. Ecommerce Marketing (optional) - Identifying key obstacles to selling your products online (e.g. shipping rates, choice of payment gateway, etc); Understanding the most popular ecommerce platforms and their fit with your business needs; Ecommerce marketing & measuring return on advertising spend

  • SERVICE DELIVERY: In person in Auckland, by video conference outside of Auckland
  • TIME: Fortnightly sessions (plus an equal amount of analysis & preparation time for the coach) delivered over four sessions without the ecommerce module and six sessions with the ecommerce module
  • COST: $4500 + GST without the ecommerce module; $6750 + GST with the ecommerce module

Funding

This course is registered with the government's Management Capability Development Fund.

Talk to Designer Websites about applying for funding because the process can be a bit convoluted and we can walk you through the steps.


Management Capability Fund

Small businesses may qualify for funding to help pay for services such as training workshops, courses and coaching that build the management capabilities of their owners and key managers.

Management Capability Development funding is only available through the Regional Business Partner Network (RBP) Growth Advisors.

Funding may be provided to a business where the Growth Advisors have identified a need for management training as part of an action plan to support the business owner to grow and innovate their business.
