Change to Email Settings

We're aware that our upstream provider has migrated a number of email accounts to the new system overnight. If you can't send or receive emails, and you access your emails via Outlook, Gmail, Mac Mail, Thunderbird, and any other related devices, and you are using the email settings below:

Incoming mail:
pop3.webhost.co.nz or imap.webhost.co.nz

Outgoing mail:
smtp.webhost.co.nz

...then you will need to update your email settings to the new settings outlined below in order to send and receive emails.

If you are having issues making these changes, please raise a support ticket.

Just a quick update that we are still working with our upstream provider to continue the migration process, if your email is working as usual then you don't need to update your email settings until further notice, we will contact you once your email has been migrated.

For clients whose emails were migrated, please make the email setting changes below, if you access your mail via webmail, the new access portal for your webmail will be:

 

webmail.your_domain_name (e.g. webmail.designerdigital.nz), your access remains unchanged.

From 10pm Thursday evening (15th September), our upstream provider will be migrating your email account to a new system, which is expected to be completed by 6am on Friday.
 
Please check your current email settings. If you access your emails via Outlook, Gmail, Mac Mail, Thunderbird, and any other related devices, and you are using the email settings below:

Incoming mail:
pop3.webhost.co.nz or imap.webhost.co.nz

Outgoing mail:
smtp.webhost.co.nz

...then you will need to update your email settings on Friday morning in order to send and receive emails. 

Please refer to the new settings below and action accordingly to connect to the new server:
 
Secure SSL/TLS Settings (Recommended)
 
Incoming Mail Server: mail.your_domain_name (e.g. mail.designerdigital.nz)
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.your_domain_name (e.g. mail.designerdigital.nz)
IMAP Port: 993
POP3 Port: 995
SMTP Port: 465

 

We are aware that some Outlook users may receive a message that Outlook is unable to connect to the server. If you receive this message, try using cp-fprsl10.syd02.ds.network for both the imap and smtp server addresses instead.
 
Non-SSL Settings (Not Recommended)
 
Incoming Mail Server: mail.your_domain_name (e.g. mail.designerdigital.nz)
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.your_domain_name (e.g. mail.designerdigital.nz)
IMAP Port: 143
POP3 Port: 110
SMTP Port: 587

 

Once you have changed your settings, your email system may re-sync your emails. This is normal and just leave it to finish.

Background
This change has come about following the acquisition of Web Drive (our original provider) by Openhost, and subsequent acquisition of Openhost by Dreamscape. Unfortunately we have been given very little notice of this migration and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
